Join us for the Barossa German Language Association’s AGM and Guest Speaker Event
When: Monday 28th October 2024, 1 – 3pm
Where: Langmeil Lutheran Church hall, 5-7 Maria St, Tanunda
We will begin with a brief AGM (Annual General Meeting) for the Barossa German Language Association, followed by a special presentation from our guest speaker, Patrick Wille. Patrick serves as the Honorary Consul of Switzerland for South Australia and brings a wealth of experience as a company director and international lawyer. With over 30 years of expertise in both common and civil law, he has also been a long-time chair of the School for the German Language.
Patrick shared, “I am happy to talk about my background growing up in Switzerland, how I ended up in Adelaide, and then talk about Switzerland and the connections to (South) Australia. Of course, I am happy to take questions.”
We are thrilled to have Patrick with us for an interesting event.
Kaffee und Kuchen (coffee and cake) is a monthly gathering to listen to a guest speaker and speak German. On the last Monday of the month we meet to listen to a guest speaker, chat in German and enjoy Kaffee und Kuchen. New members and visitors are always welcome.
Am Montag, den 28. Oktober laden wir herzlich zur öffentlichen Jahresvollversammlung unseres Sprachvereins, sowie zum Kaffee und Kuchen Programm ein. Nach unserer AGM hören wir von einem Gastredner (wird noch bekannt gegeben) und im Anschluss gibt es die Gelegenheit sich bei Kaffee und Kuchen auf Deutsch auszutauschen.
Das Kaffee und Kuchen Treffen ist ein gemütliches Zusammensein zur Pflege der deutschen Sprache. Es findet jeden letzten Montag im Monat im Langmeil Centre, 7 Maria Street in Tanunda statt. Neue Mitglieder und Besucher sind stets willkommen.
