Invitation to the BGLA Kaffee und Kuchen
On Monday, 28th November at 1pm will be our last Kaffee und Kuchen meeting this year and we welcome everyone to join us for a traditional festive Christmas theme and to sing some German Christmas carols. We are excited to have Jens Sandstrom as our guest again and look forward to a soiree coupled with singing some traditional German Christmas carols and sharing customs.
Jens Sandstrom is our guest in November, just like last year. Jens has extensive experience working with the German-speaking Community. He has been active in the German Club for many years, and the Principal of the School of German Language. He is a musician and music director and an energetic teacher of German.
Jens writes: “I am a retired teacher and now grandfather, who is passing on the cultural traditions especially, and particularly those relating to Christmas, as my parents and grandparents did for me. I am very interested in what is done in the home to keep the tradition alive in today’s most complex world.”

Kaffee und Kuchen meetings are held on the last Monday of the month. Come along for an afternoon of German talk, a presentation of a guest speaker, to join in speaking German and to enjoy Kaffee und Kuchen (coffee and cake). New members and visitors are always welcome.
Einladung zum Kaffee und Kuchen Treffen am 28. November
Zu unserem letzten Treffen in diesem Jahr kommt wieder Jens Sandstrom zu uns, und wir heißen alle herzlich willkommen, um zusammen in festliche Stimmung zu kommen. Wir freuen uns auf einen Nachmittag, an dem wir die traditionellen deutschen Weihnachtslieder singen können und uns über Weihnachtstraditionen austauschen können. Jens schreibt:
Ich bin immer gerne bereit die deutsche Sprache zu erhalten und verbreiten, besonders im Bereich unseres schönen Barossa-Tals ,so dass wir die Verbindung mit unserem Deutschtum nicht verlieren. Am Besten macht man das mit Musik und Humor und konstanter Wiederholung. Somit bleibt es in unserem immer älter werdenden Gehirn hoffentlich kleben, ha,ha !

Das Kaffee und Kuchen Treffen ist ein gemütliches Zusammensein zur Pflege der deutschen Sprache. Es findet jeden letzten Montag im Monat von 13-15 Uhr im Langmeil Centre, 7 Maria Street in Tanunda statt. Neue Mitglieder und Besucher sind stets willkommen.
