Resolutions of the BGLA Inc. AGM Monday 31 October, 2022
This AGM meeting of the Barossa German Language Association affirms the resolutions of the public meeting held on Monday 9th August, 2021 in Tanunda, South Australia. This Meeting
- Supports the re-introduction of bilingual teaching in schools in the Barossa region;
- Requests support from the Department of Education in South Australia, of Lutheran Education, and of schools and their communities for the development of systematic German English bilingual programs in schools in the Barossa region;
- Requests the support of the governments of the Federal Republic of Germany, of Switzerland and of Austria for the establishment of bilingual German English programs in the Barossa region.
- Invites the support and participation of local organisations and businesses in the re-introduction of bilingual German English schooling.

- The meeting calls for the Minister of Education to confirm support of the Department in the re-establishment of bilingual German English programs in South Australia with the allocation of resources and staffing for planning and for preparation of programs and resources in schools.
- The meeting requests the Minister of Education to support the BGLA and associated organisations with negotiations with schools and school communities for the re-introduction of bilingual German English programs in South Australian schools.
- The BGLA Inc. meeting invites the Premier of South Australia to a public meeting on Monday 21st, November, 2022, at 6.00 pm in the Langmeil Centre, Tanunda to report to the community actual support for the plan for the re-introduction of bilingual German/English programs in South Australia.
