KinderKlub is a fun German class for primary school aged kids with an interest in the German language and culture, organised by the Barossa German Language Association (BGLA).
It is the ideal environment for young Barossans to get in touch with their German heritage, for resident German speaking expats to keep their kids in contact with the language and culture, or for anyone else interested in introducing their children to a foreign language in a relaxed play environment. The teachers speak mostly German but always make sure the children understand everything. Kids don’t need to know German for Kinderklub – it’s as much for complete beginners as it is for native speakers.
Every week on a Tuesday the class meets at 4pm at the Langmeil centre in Tanunda with a little time for kids to settle in and for the adults to make a tea or coffee.
With a wide variety of activities the children are learning German while running or playing games, doing craft, reading stories, singing songs, decorating biscuits, making a fruit salad, drawing or watching short video clips in German.
The sessions are coordinated by a teaching team with bilingual background. Our wonderful teachers have many years experience working with children in a Kindergarten and primary school environment and the classes are always engaging and fun, so please get in contact to join – new families are always Herzlich Willkommen!
