GASTREDNER: Carsten Rostalsky Carsten Rostalsky ist Pfarrer in Dahme/ Mark (Brandenburg). Er wird über seine Arbeit als Pfarrer zwischen Ost und West erzählen sowie über seine Nachforschungen zum Missionar Christian Gottlieb Teichelmann, der 1838 aus Dahme nach Südaustralien gesandt wurde und Aborigine-sprachen aufgezeichnet hat.
Das Kaffee und Kuchen Treffen ist ein gemütliches Zusammensein zur Pflege der deutschen Sprache. Es findet jeden letzten Montag im Monat von 13-15 Uhr im Langmeil Centre, 7 Maria Street in Tanunda statt. Neue Mitglieder und Besucher sind stets willkommen.

Guest speaker: Carsten Rostalksky
He will talk about his “life between East and West” (Germany) and his international church connections with Asia, in particular Korea. He can possibly also talk about the reasons for his visit to South Australia, i.e. being the local pastor of the home town of one of the four German missionaries (Gottlob Teichelmann, from Dahme, Mark Brandenburg). They recorded three Aboriginal languages (Kaurna/Adelaide Plains, Ngarrindjeri/around Lake Alexandrina, and Barngarla/Eyre Peninsula) which are being taught again these days.
Each month we meet to listen to a guest speaker, to join in speaking German and to enjoy Kaffee und Kuchen! We meet in the Langmeil Lutheran Church Hall, 7 Maria Street, Tanunda, between 1.00 pm and 3.00 pm on the last Monday of the month. New members and visitors are always welcome.
